The Wines
Central
Burgenland – racy red wines,
Blaufränkisch with a great deal of character
Horitschon in the HEART OF THE BLAUFRÄNKISCH
LAND
The
nickname “Blaufränkisch-Land” indicates which grape
variety has influence on the great red-wine island of Austria. With a
sturdy structure, fine acidity and incomparable personality, the Blaufränkisch
is the basis for deep fruity red wines.
The charming, velvety Zweigelt, as well as the Cabernet Sauvignon and
Merlot are congenial partners for modern cuvées, which – like
the “indigenous vines” – find ideal conditions here.
Due to maturing in barrels, these wines receive a very special new style
among the Austrian reds. (OWM)

Grape Seed Oil – Cold
pressed
Trauttmansdorff´s Grape
Seed Oil is made from the
heart of the grape, the seed. During harvest, after the pressing of
the grapes for wine production, the pomace (skins, stems and seeds) is
gathered and the seeds are separated out. The seeds are then
dried before the oil is pressed from them. Once the oil is pressed, it
is ready for bottling.
We use only a cold-press method to extract
the oil from the seed. During this process, temperatures are kept low
to preserve both the oil’s unique flavour
and the valuable nutrients contained in grapeseed oil.
